An Event Dedicated to the 103rd Anniversary of the Birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev Was Held at the Chamber of Auditors.

 An online event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was held at the Chamber of Auditors on 8 May 2026.

The event began with a visit to the bust of Heydar Aliyev installed in the administrative building of the Chamber of Auditors, followed by the screening of a video dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader.

Opening the event with introductory remarks, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vahid Novruzov spoke in detail about the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the independent Azerbaijani state and the founder of Azerbaijan’s development strategy and Constitution. He spoke about the difficulties that arose in the country during the early years of independence, the threat of chaos and disintegration, the activities of forces seeking to undermine national statehood, and how this situation necessitated Heydar Aliyev’s return to political power. V. Novruzov noted that under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan overcame civil confrontation, economic disaster and political turmoil and embarked on the path of building a law-governed state.

Today, we can proudly and with a great sense of pride say that national statehood, whose architect was Heydar Aliyev, is our greatest asset.

Vahid Novruzov stated that following Heydar Aliyev’s return to power, the foundations were laid for strengthening the legal framework, stabilizing governance and building a modern state based on the Constitution. One of the most important steps in this direction was the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party. Founded in 1992, the party played an indispensable role in preserving state independence, ensuring political stability and bringing the people together.

Returning to the political leadership of the republic in June 1993 at the persistent demand of the people, Heydar Aliyev faced two important tasks under the new historical circumstances: eliminating the threat to the existence of Azerbaijani statehood, preserving state independence and carrying out the construction of a democratic state.

In his speech, V. Novruzov also noted that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev has always emphasized that a strong economy is the foundation of a strong state. In this context, the economic reforms being implemented are organically linked to social policy.

It was precisely the effective economic strategy implemented under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev that made it possible to achieve the set goals and attain socio-economic revival.

V. Novruzov particularly emphasized that one of the main directions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s policy was the identification of a worthy successor. He was confident that the matters he had been unable to complete would be successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

It was precisely as a result of this that the Patriotic War, which began on 27 September 2020 and lasted 44 days, became a new peak in the heroic chronicle of our people. The brilliant victory achieved in this war went down in history not only as a demonstration of military strength, but also as a triumph of political foresight, diplomatic skill and national solidarity. The Azerbaijani people, closely united around Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev through their solidarity and determination, and our valiant army through its professionalism, dedication and heroism, became the authors of this historic victory.

Today, our people truly see that the path of statehood defined by Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and they remain closely united around the head of state.

Today, every Azerbaijani can proudly say that the achievements, existing stability and future goals once again demonstrate that the path of Heydar Aliyev will live on forever, and every step taken along this path will serve the well-being of our people and the strength of our state. This path is a guarantee of our independence, sovereignty and law-governed state.

Vahid Novruzov then emphasized that the attention and care shown by President Ilham Aliyev to all areas of activity in the country have always been felt in the Azerbaijani auditing community as well. V. Novruzov noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors, which began its activities on the basis of the Law “On Auditing Service” signed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and that an international event with the participation of representatives from Azerbaijan and foreign countries will be held in September.

The event was then addressed by employees and members of the Chamber of Auditors: Fakhraddin Ismayilov — Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors; Farhaddin Huseynov — Director-Auditor of “LS Audit” LLC; Roman Huseynov — Director-Auditor of the “Audit Organization of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”; Misir Ahmadov — Director-Auditor of “Azerbaijan International Audit Service” LLC; Safar Valizade — Director-Auditor of “SR Audit Solutions” LLC; Elmira Hajiyeva — Head of the Human Resources Training Department; Gunay Aliyeva — Director-Auditor of “Finance and Audit Center” LLC; Eldar Tahmazov — Director-Auditor of “AZƏRUÇOT” LLC; Nigar Ismayilova — Head of the Audit Organization and Analysis Department; Nazim Aliyev — Director-Auditor of “ACTIVE CONSULTING CN” LLC; Independent Auditor Yagub Verdiyev; Independent Auditor Hafiz Ahmadov; Vugar Sardarov — Head of the International Relations Department; Mehdi Babayev — Director-Auditor of “BAKU REPORTING CENTER” LLC, who spoke about the unparalleled services rendered by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people.

The speakers also emphasized that the cherished memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev will live forever in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people, regardless of how many centuries and generations may pass.

At the end of the event, party membership cards were presented to seven members and employees of the Chamber of Auditors who had been admitted to membership of the New Azerbaijan Party.

Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors, Professor Vahid Novruzov congratulated the seven new members of the party and wished them success in their political activities.
