On February 27, 2017, in Baku at the hotel "Hilton" was held "Azerbaijani-Bulgarian Audit Forum", jointly organized by the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic and the Institute of Certified Accountants in Bulgaria.

Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic, Professor Vahid Novruzov in his opening remarks drew attention of participants to the fact that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, congratulating on April 4, 2016 the staff and members of the Chamber of Auditors with the 20th anniversary of the Chamber, noted in his congratulatory letter that "taking into account challenges of the new era, at this stage of economic reforms, much remains to be done in rebuilding of audit system, improving its efficiency and enhancing its integration into the international community."

Guided by these program character instructions of the President, for the study of the progressive world experience in the field of independent financial control and for its wider application, taking into account the peculiarities of the national economy, to benefit from the international experience more productive, the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic established cooperation relations with audit and accounting organizations of more than 40 foreign countries. From today, this list also includes the Institute of Certified Accountants in Bulgaria.

Vahid Novruzov noted that the extensive experience of our new partner - the Institute of Certified Accountants in Bulgaria - is very important for the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic. We are well aware of the work carried out in Bulgaria by the Institute in the field of training of audit staff, the attention given to the problems of regulating auditing and quality control in general. The signed agreement will have a positive impact on the activities of both organizations and will be of great importance in the field of mutual exchange of experience and in supporting each other at international level. Speaking of that audit is one of the most important trends in the European Union, the President of the Institute of Certified Accountants in Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Kostov said that at present the extensive reforms have been carried out in Europe in the field of audit and one can say that this area was regulated again.

According to him, at present a separate direction on accounting development was formed in the headed by him Institute.
